How does this compare to the other brands we been seeing on SD?
This is somewhat of a gold standard. The other brand(s) continually being seen seem to have a promotional agreement with Slickdeals, understandable since they are a business.

Be advised you have to buy Solar Input Module separately. Other models have this built in by default.
Most everything else with this brand requires that you buy separately whereas other brands include them (i.e. car socket charger is $50 from DJI but included with Anker's products)

I have one of these from last year. I'm not sure if this one is different a year later but mine requires an extra dongle for app connectivity. I can't say I'm a fan of the need for a different dongle for each extra feature like app connectivity ($25 dongle) or solar charging ($60 module).
It has been really reliable though and I use it frequently.
I recently picked up an EcoFlow Delta 2 and really like that one. The app connectivity is great plus it has built in solar charging.
If you don't care about using an app or solar, this DJI Power isn't bad at all.
If you do want that, I think it kind of kills the value a bit.
Got mine last year. Yes you need the dongle for the app and the solar, but this one has turned into my go to over my Delta2. The higher output is nice, and it goes with me in my cargo conversion to handle those heavy loads my system can't handle. At this price its tempting to pickup another. I've got an xt60i connected to a 150ah 12v for when I need extended run time to keep the freezers running.

The newer 1000 V2 has the connectivity function built in, which frees up a (high-current) SDC port that the dongle didn't really need to hog up.
This allows the V2 to host several combinations of (bi-directional) DC-DC charging / sourcing - without the inefficiencies through the inverter- across PV, 12/24V car / RV / LiFePo4 battery-bank and fast-charging DJI drone battery (or banks of them, when using the 2x USB-C at 140W each).
What bugs me is that their SDC ports have the ranges of 9-28 VDC and 32-58.4 VDC, but we don't have access - just a non-imaginative 12V via the XT60 cable- which would've been fantastic for balanced battery chargers using XT60 inputs at up to 12s LiPO or pouch packs.
By not allowing user config of SDC outputs/limits, it's a missed opportunity just to protect the public idiot from exploding lipo in their faces.
That said, this original model is the much better price/performance point. For solar AC / RV alternator UPS-mode combos that might need both SDC ports, just plug in the dongle initially to do the battery charge/discharge set points config ... then fight the urge for continuous status monitoring/logging (beyond the front panel).
