You're right. I've used the actual keyboard like 5 times and had it several months. The full keyboard cover with trackpad doesn't work well on my lap. The slim keyboard cover works better for lap use (my wife has it).
Neither of those samsung covers protect the outside of the tablet from drops. The corner of my screen is cracked after it dropped to the floor with the keyboard cover on.
When I want to use a keyboard, I use a separate bloothtooth keyboard and mouse. It just works better.
I am 100% convinced that the "Outdoor Cover" is the best cover for the S10+. I had to buy the S9+ version, but it fits perfectly on the S10+. You can stand the tablet up in vertical and horizontal orientations. Use it as a handle, and it protects all the sides of the tablet. The only downside is that it's not as pretty as that pristine white keyboard cover.
Now I just need to wait until Feb. when those tab s10+ are expected to ship 😅
