Nike Pegasus 41 is coming through as a solid daily trainer and walking shoe, with comfortable cushioning, decent all day wear, and a price that lands well below typical Nike pricing. The pair is also being used successfully for treadmill walking and wide-ish feet, and the colorway is more lavender than the stock photos suggest. Fit runs a little snug for some, the fabric feels thick, and wet traction is reported as poor, so it suits dry, everyday use better than slick conditions.

Common Questions (5)

  • They work well as daily running shoes and are considered a strong value under $75, but they are also described as better for walking than for running by some shoppers. They are not the best pick for marathon use, and the thick fabric may feel less ideal for some runners.

  • Free shipping works with an FLX account, but the rewards/account link can fail if the account is old or not syncing properly. Creating a new account with a different phone/email fixed it for one shopper, and another got free shipping to apply normally.

  • They can fit on the snug side, especially compared with other Nike shoes in the same size. Wide-ish feet may still fit fine, but sizing down for a tighter athletic fit may be a bad idea because the shoe already runs a little tight.

  • They look much more lavender/light purple in person than the stock photos suggest. The upper and laces can appear lavender rather than gray or blue-white, so the pictured colorway is not very accurate.

  • A price adjustment may be possible by calling Foot Locker, even though chat was not available for one shopper. Another shopper had to reorder and return the first pair because the lower price appeared later.

FYI these are light purple shoes. The stock photo isn't exactly right. They are comfortable and a great deal at the price point... just a different colorway than I was expecting, as the photo looks more blue and white vs blue and lavender (see photo below).

Thanks for the data point. Been seeing this color discounted heavily and now I understand why.

I have an air zoom now, its narrowish. Is this narrow?
I have wide-ish feet and these are fine for me. I'm a teacher and on my feet a good portion of the day.

Found a video that appears to show the color a little better for anyone on the fence: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vfEdpqcfNEc

One of the better "cheap" runners IMO. If you have the budget I'd go 40$ mor for the peg plus, but if you're a serious runner you probably aren't too concerned about "cheap" anyway. I've had 4 pairs of pegs and never regretted them.

Slick deal for 51$. These go on sale for 99$ at Nike (plus the 10-25% coupons) so anything under 75$ is worth it if you like the color way.
Thanks for your review. It's a bit hard to switch shoes. Feet are worth investing in shoes that don't torture them.

I held off on the $60 price. But went for it now. Thanks! The free shipping worked fine for me.
Nike doesn't make the Infinity Run shoes anymore (which I like), so I think these are the equivalent replacements.

Yikes, just saw this after ordering ...
Hmm, I'll have to deal with that if I get the same.

Hard to explain over the Internet, but they're on my feet right now and definitely even more lavendar than the video.

I was able to get the price adjustment done by calling them.
Thanks for posting this. I jumped in at the higher price on Sunday and tried contacting chat multiple times since the lower price on Tuesday with no luck/no response/no follow-up. Will try calling tomorrow!

Got mine in. I do see why they were discounted pretty deep because they're kinda ugly. Definitely a lavender color that the stock photos do not convey at all. That entire upper and laces that look more gray in the stock photos are obviously lavender in person. Not a big deal for me because I was intending to use mine as a strictly running/exercise shoe and I won't personally use them for casual use out and about.

I got size 11 and think they do fit on the more snug side of 11. Glad I didn't go down to 10.5 which I do sometimes for more athletic fit/use.
