Somebody just downvoted the deal. May I know if there any reason for that? At this peice, you are getting a pretty solid CPU, a solid mid-range card with 16GB VRAM, and most importantly, 32GB memory.

It will run Half Life Alyx. You can indeed upgrade GPU later but pay attention to size and power supply constraints.

Great deal! the only caveat is that you prob wont be able to upgrade to much... im not looking into to but it could have a proprietary PSU and MOBO, i purchased a HP pre build many years ago and i was stuck. built a new pc since then. but expect that it will be difficult to upgrade. but since its such a good price that wont matter.

prob bc HP has had many proprietary parts in their gaming desktops making some upgrades difficult. (i upvoted though lol)

The motherboard is propriertary in OMEN 16L which is basically replacement of their budget HP Pavilion Gaming series. The PS is standard ATX. if you buy Omen 35L or higher, they all use standard components.

Just a heads up, this motherboard is bios locked for all CPU's except the 8000 series G/F. That means no upgrading down the line since you've already got the best CPU this mobi supports. If you're near a micro center you're better off building your own in the long run. At 500-700 this would be a steal though.

This is not a suggested processor list. I have a 2021 HP with an erica8 and you can only use the CPUs listed on the page.
