Roku is, without a doubt, the worst smart TV OS. I suspect they intentionally slow them down after a year or two, just to get you to buy one of their (also crappy) streaming sticks. The ads are larger and more pervasive than Google or Fire or Tizen, and every damn update re-installs the same crappy apps you already uninstalled.

The TCL 75" QM6K is better than this, costs $150-200 less today, and has a better warranty.

i disagree on this statement. maybe i'm lucky but out of my 3 OS i have in my home it goes in this order:
1: roku
2: google
3: fire tv(dog shit)

You're certainly entitled to your own opinions and experiences. My experience, at least, is that the ads on Roku devices are far more obnoxious than on any of my Android devices (I haven't used Fire devices in a long time because they're just shittier Android streamers). Roku phones home a metric shit-ton of analytics data compared to my Android devices (AdGuard Home is running on my router and blocks it all, so I can see exactly how much more Roku does it). I can sideload TizenTube Cobalt or SmartTube on Android devices, but Roku's locked down system prevents anything that isn't a data generator for them.

I have never experienced a Roku device that was faster than its Android counterpart. I can't think of a thing they do better, in fact.

To each their own, though.

Roku Pro has a better picture than most mid-low range TCL's... do a comparison in the tech. Only newbs use Roku OS anyway, do you even shield bro?
