Terrible weight distribution by having laptop on the outside pocket.
Also, you need to secure this with locks, it would require two locks one for laptop and one for the remainder.

It appears their updated version does place the laptop on the back.

35L for the large and 40L for the XL.

I bought one of these in the "large" personal item size recently and it did exactly what I was looking for. I packed a 15" MacBook, 5 days of boxers, socks, tshirts, plus a pair of jeans, a thick flannel, plus toiletries and a few other things.
It's comfortable enough on my back in the airport, seems to be made well, and made traveling light simple and compact, so I would recommend it.

I bought one of these to use as a carry on a few months ago. I did not like the material. It feels cheap like it will not endure many trips. I returned it and was able to find something else in the same price range that felt more durable.

I bought this 40L size on Black Friday. It's well-made and very well-designed

I bought this exact one 1 1/2 years ago and have used it on exactly 7 flights, I can report it is holding up very well.
I bought one for my husband as well and same, very durable, it does however get dirty, I am going to try to wash it soon.

Is it the tarp-like material? Seems like a lot of cheap backpacks are made of that, often pretty thin, which both looks/feels cheap but does tend to go poorly over time.

Another complaint is the bag itself doesn't have much structure, which is a pet peeve of mine and a reason I haven't tried this bag out quite yet (still looking for other alternatives, but it's been sitting in my Amazon cart for a while - mostly waiting for the specific color I want to go on sale before I give it a go probably).

On the plus side there are a lot of different variety of colors and designs of the OP's model.

Also lots of complaints about zippers, which look plastic(?). The "updated" design linked above seems to have higher quality hardware, though it's impossible to be sure just from the pictures.

I bought a bag from Kohls while it was on sale, in the same price range. The brand was Travel Select.
