I wonder how this combo compares to the Abu Garcia Jordan Lee combo that was on and off special the last few years for $50. Regardless, thumbs up for a fishing deal.

Jordan lee is more similar to max x or black max. And Max pro is one level up but still an entry level setup. Wish it was a LH retrieve.

Just looking at specs; this one has more bearings compared to the Jordan Lee. The Jordan Lee appears to have a negligible higher line capacity. Both have a 15 drag limit. These would make pretty good bass setups, and acceptible if you hook a catfish. We haven't pulled in anything over 16 pounds in the boat, and that was a catfish. Personally I like lighter setups that can cast lighter bait like a medium light with fast action. That's just me though.

It will work for fluke but mh is a little stiff , it would be versatile for an other fish too in that regard. Fast action and maybe a medium to get the hookset correctly. It's a good combo tho

I could be wrong but i think you can unscrew the reel line handle and switch to left handed

You can do that for spinning reels but not for baitcasters.

Under that it showed the....Abu Garcia Revo® X Baitcast FishingCombo, 7'4" Medium Heavy, LP for $99.97

I've not used an Abu Garcia baitcaster reel in a while,So I'm not sure how good that is.
