I have one of these. I haven't done any benchmarks of it, but I can say this:

I haven't exactly been careful with mine: losing a screw, throwing it in a bag lots of times, losing it on the floor, and generally mistreating it. No problems so far! (And it has a decent enough friction fit that even if you lose the screw, it's not just going to fall apart)

I have one of these.. it's been used to house the m.2 NVME in my Tesla model 3 for ~ 5 years now? Capturing dashcams feeds and videos and sentry mode videos pretty much daily. It's always plugged in and still works great today. For this price and if you need it's a no brainer. NOT sure about sure high volume data back and forth use, that wears on anything but this enclosure is pretty solid IMHO

For the price and tooless I rather get this one instead. SABRENT is also a more well known brand.

Will not recommend this -within 60days it killed my 2TB card... and a 1TB thinking it was my cards.. it works fine for a little while but if you leave this in you will start to notice it starts to disconnect and then reconnect constantly. You unplug and then next day it does the same thing - u can no longer have a working card and all your data is gone. And the card no longer works.. bought another enclosure and been working like normal for 5 months now.

Might've just been the cable. The original cable that came with mine died pretty quickly and started causing disconnects frequently. Once I switched cables, it has worked fine since.

How do these slide aluminum tube covers make good contact with the thermal pad? I'd think top-attached (on some Orico) or swing-out covers (Sabrent) make more sense.
