There is no point to this. If it was 4 different colors I would understand but who needs 4 small spools of the same color. Just give me a one standard 1kg spool.

I have multiple printers and don't necessarily want 4 1kg Spools open at the same time and this is about what you will pay for a 1kg spool when on a deal of their PLA+. I have respooled before and never want to do it again lol. So this is a lot easier than splitting a 1kg spool to use among multiple printers.
Could just get 1 spool for the same price. Also, the have always been this same price.
Really not a slickdeal.
No, they have not always been this price (screenshot attached). There is always a premium price with multiple smaller spools as it costs more to make. See post above the benefits of having smaller spools.

I stand corrected. Price tracker showed a flat line at $21.99, did not register the $10 price yet.
Still not a good or slickdeal.
Which raises a question for Amazon... how is it that the 5% discounted price is $10.00 when they had it selling before for $22. Amazon needs to be sued... again.

So spending more for your needs works better for you.

if you hate respooling.... this is literally 4x the likeliness of having a worthless tiny amount of filament left over... even with ams next-up loading that's a hassle.
i have a dozen machines and have never, ever considered splitting a 1kg roll and tidbits of filament are such a pain in the arse i can't imagine signing up for that 4x as often.

Oh, trust me. I never considered splitting a 1kg spool either lol. When I respoooled it was because there was something wrong with the roll. I don't have dozens of machines so I don't need 4x 1kg spools open of the same color. I was saying the alternative for me would be splitting a roll which I would never do unless forced to because a twisted up roll or something.
I wouldn't call a small amount of filament left over worthless, as I don't find it much of a hassle at all to load the next roll. And if it's a project I'm printing through the AMS where a roll would run out, I generally have two slots filled with that color in the AMS pre-print so it switches automatically to the next when the 1st roll runs out.

Still $10/spool which is typical at best.
