It's through softmall.us not office.com. A little deceiving in the post but softmall appears to be a certified Microsoft reseller

Googled:

Is SoftMall a Microsoft partner?

If you are looking for genuine software for Mac and PC, you have come to the right place. At SoftMall you can buy computer software downloads, OEM product keys, and retail goods at a great discount. All the products are from certified Microsoft partners.

Need more comments to pull the trigger, would not just rely on a "googled."

I don't trust it to actually connect to a Microsoft account.

On the product page on softmall.us there is a link to Microsoft listing softmall as a certified reseller. Probably about the best we can hope for

Just bought it. Successfully redeemed to my Microsoft account, no issues so far.
Where did you download it from? My problem with many cheap MS Office sellers is that download site is not official, so software can be altered by faul players

Purchase email confirmation has a download link from
tsp1-urlhasbeenblocked.net, which has a very low trust score on ScamAdviser.com.
Purchase page has a download link https://download.winandoffice.com...64Bits.exe
Trust score is better, but still it's 3rd party hosting and this installation file can be modified by scammers and contain malware, etc...

It is actually modified - it's signed by not Microsoft, but by something named
"Technik Markt TMA e.K."
