I bought this coat when it 1st went on sale at $65 & just bought a 2nd in another color at this $52 price. I though about using it as a winter housecoat but I'm wearing it when it is about 20-30f while running errands. I was surprised at how warm it actually is and it is a great car-coat. I love that it both zippers & snaps. The chest pocket won't hold a big phone/case but the hand pockets are nice deep. I'm 5'11" and it comes down to my knees. I'm also a solid 3x (58in at my widest spot) and the 3x fits great/not snug. I can't say anything about the long term durability since I'm only had it for a month but I'm betting the sherpa fleece will wind up getting a bit smooshed in the bum area after time. I've also layered this under an oversized down jacket for extreme cold and it worked great. This would be great for anyone who is watching the kids play outside sports (or hockey). It is also so snuggly. I wore it to work and my co-workers couldn't help but pet the coat. It is the usual good Columbia quality.

Thank you for sharing your personal experience. Have been looking for a long, faux sherpa coat for a while. Looks like the $52 price is gone, as well as my size, but I signed up in case another color goes back on sale.
