That does not have the controller app built in, so you need a cloud key to control it. Any thing start with UXG needs a cloud key. UCG has the controller built in

Absent from the holiday-offer page itself is the Cloud Gateway Max with 512GB SSD for $179 (regularly $279), and cheaper than the No Storage option that's still $199:

Given a 512GB NVME SSD costs ~$80 today, that's only about $100 for the UCG-Max itself.

Wow much better offering than Black Friday. It's actually the good stuff.

Looking for advise from people with first hand experience, I have one AC Pro in basement and one U6 Pro on 2nd floor....U6 pro was a good upgrade with increase in speed and performance, except my iPod pro that now disconnects randomly.. I want to upgrade AC Pro but is it worth going with U7 Pro or XG?

U6 Enterprise (non-wall) is a new addition from the Black Friday sale. The 4x4 antennas on 5G & 6G is unmatched by any of their non-top end WiFi7 equipment. I'd buy this vs any of the WiFi 7 offerings

These items look to not have any shipping costs or tariff surcharges. This make the deal even better from ui.com. Will be interesting to see if other retailers match these sale prices (Microcenter, etc)

What use cases would you not justify the U6 Enterprise? Where does this really shine?

Depends if the U7 Pro is still buggy. There were a lot of complaints.
Had mine for the better part of this year, never had an issue.

I'd get the XG instead of the pro at their normal prices. At these prices, i'd get the pro.

I've been trying to research these Ubiquiti devices to replace an aging first gen Eero pro setup in a 3000 sq ft, two story home.
What kind of setup should I look into if I want to mimic a similar experience that I had with Eero? I will have two spots with wired, but may need to look at a single wireless backhaul. I do have some WiFi 6 devices and a 7 device.

What's the difference between this and cloud gateway fiber?
uxg needs something else to manage it like a cloud key or self host, ucg is all in one, self hosted

I'm looking to start a small system. I have my own switch and router. Is the cloud key Gen 2 plus good?
the cloud key is just the software to manage your network. if you have a separate switch and router/gateway, it won't do you any good.

How does the G5 Pro compare to the G6 Bullet since they are both the same price?

UNAS Pro is a killer deal if you just need a NAS for NAS stuff. I have two with one as a secondary backup.

I don't have a G5 Pro to compare it to, but I purchased the G6 bullet since it had built-in AI detection instead of the G5 Pro's event detection.

From what I read, both have the same FOV, image sensor, etc. The difference was the AI. To get the AI functionality on the G5 Pro, you'd need an AI Port (link [ui.com]) for the same functionality. I will say the advantage the G5 Pro has over the G6 bullet is the G5 Pro offers an accessory (G5 Pro Enhancer [ui.com]) that is on sale which extends the IR and includes a "floodlight."

After INSTALLING the G6, I was pretty disappointed when mounting it on the side of the house- it does not pivot 90 degrees from the base- you can either purchase an angled base [ui.com] or 3D print [makerworld.com] one.

Aside from obvious POE budget differences, etc., what are the disadvantages of the Dream Machine SE versus a Cloud Gateway Fiber, Lite8 POE, and UNVR Instant setup? I want to run some g6 cameras, set up a wired home network for laptop and tv, and setup a home server to run an ai engine locally.

I'm new to U ecosystem but have always heard good things. Does the U7 Pro need one of the gateway units to work or will it work independently? Thanks!
