I thought 2K screens were typically 2560 x 1440 - is 1920 x 1200 the new 2K?

Please don't buy these out. I'm trying to collect my PP 20% before cancelling my HP order for the Omnibook X version of this before buying the Staples Omni 7 version.

Does this have a backlit keyboard? Is the ram soldered?

That's 2.5k. They are just going for the first number of the resolution. So 2k is 1920 x 1200.

Although technically accurate, when I was looking into this most pc manufacturers had referred to 2k as 1440p, which I know doesn't make sense as that is the horizontal lines, not vertical. But it seems to have been muddied in recent months. Even full hd (1920x1080) has 1920 vertical rows. They should probably just switch to total pixel count, e.g. 2.3M.

Check on sRGB, even 100% isn't ideal. Can't rely on HP site, as the store machines are built to different specs for HP, at least. Many are just 62% sRGB. Most people won't care.
