If you have coins with aliexpress, going through the coin page will give an additional 17% off. And this coupon works with the matte rainbow color as well.

A) if you want the best print quality, you should always calibrate your filament, regardless of any ready made profiles. Every printer is different even say two P1S'. You can get very good prints with ready made profiles, but you won't be maximizing your filaments potential, regardless of brand.

B) This is not a no name brand at all. It's many people's go to brand for their unique colors. You may not have heard of it because there aren't many deals on it. Their Burnt titanium series may be the nicest filaments I've used and I have over 300 rolls of filament currently.

C) you shouldn't compare pricing of silk and especially the rainbow variants to basic PLA or PETG.

D) your infatuation with plastic spools will make you miss out on a lot of good filament. The highest regarded brands in the industry use cardboard spools. Elegoo is generally my go to because imo it's the best from the affordable brands. If I want to put it in my AMS, I either slap on an adapter or put on an empty Bambu spool (both take less than two minutes. You can Google videos).

I haven't ordered this exact color, but I've done this brand's silk multicolor filaments and they print well on my A1 Mini and Elegoo CC. I paid close to $20 for a single kg of this, so $10/kg is great!

Great price. I use this stuff all the time and prints very well on my Bambu printers.

$10/kg for a no name brand isn't slickthey probably don't have oem calibrated filament presets for popular printers like bambu labat least sunlu, kingroon and esun have filament presets so you have a higher chance of successful prints and don't waste money and time calibrating yourself.i got 10 rolls of 1 kg each kingroom for $5.80 each, petg and the spool are plastic, not cardboard like this, which doesn't work in a lot of ams boxes.
PETG and rainbow silk PLA aren't comparable on price. Comparing a solid color of the cheapest filament to this isn't relevant information. I ran the generic silk profile on my Bambu and it printed great. I will give you the cardboard spools though

Terrible advice. This is a good filament and a known brand name, but it's what most would call tier 2. Where tier 1 is Bambu, Polymaker, Overture, etc..., tier 2 is Sunlu, Elegoo, and some slightly lesser known (though still known) brands like this. $10 per kilogram is a good price for rainbow silks, and can vouch for their filaments (PLA Silk and Matte). They print well on a P1S using Bambu profiles, although for silks I like to slightly increase the temperature and retraction rate. And of course, dry the filament.
And for what it's worth, calibrating filament is really easy. You're technically supposed to do it even for Bambu filaments if you really want the best results, but most don't notice the difference for PLA. And for PLA, even lesser known brands than this tend to print well on Bambu printers using standard profiles. I stay away from the really cheap stuff, but otherwise I've used over a dozen brands without any issues.

Edit: Oh right, cardboard on these works fine in my AMS (v1) and usually have wax or something on the edges. I prefer plastic though, and you can print reusable plastic rails, add tape on the rails, or transfer it to a plastic spool if needed.

Don't let cardboard spools scare you or intimidate you. Most of the top tier brands use them. If you want to put it in your AMS there are printable adapters or you can roll electrical tape around the cardboard edges. I've seen people say they have no issues using cardboard in their AMS, but personally, I'm afraid to do that. I've taken apart my AMS before and I'd rather not do it again lol.

I have ordered several Eryone rainbow silks from Amazon and have never had an issue. It's normally around $20 per kg.

I use generic setting for kingroon PLA and it prints great. PETG I had to slightly lower my nozzle temps but after that it printed fine.
