You're looking at roughly half the color volume. Practically: colors on the 45% NTSC panel will look dull, desaturated, and "cheap" next to your Macs.

I totally agree and I should've mentioned in my post. The screen is very mediocre.

Display is bad but also fairly par for the course when it comes to non high end windows laptop displays. Comparing a $200 refurb to a Macbook pro display is kinda like saying your Corolla doesn't ride like a Rolls.

I bought a "very good" laptop from that seller, and it had visible scratches on the casing. I expect a "good" to be even worse.

Bought a certified refurbished from this seller and it only had a somewhat visible stain on the surface. Other than that, laptop was in great condition along with the charging cable. Seller also included a card with the package that mentioned if you were unsatisfied for any reason, it'd be easy to obtain a return label to ship it back.

edit: the screen isn't very bright or have nice colours. Fine for office work but doesn't hold a candle to any recent macbook.

Was this a good or very good condition unit?

Oh thanks, didn't realise that. I couldn't use the word pristine - there were fine scratches next to the trackpad, like caused by a ring or something. I'd say it was Refurbished Excellent
