Not the fastest ram, but given the inflated cost lately seems like a decent price for a laptop/mini-PC that uses DDR4 SO-DIMMs
From the listing:

I guess that's why it's so cheap by today's standards given the current ram shortage
For people with budget motherboards I'm guessing it might be helpful? One family member's desktop PC has a motherboard that was released year 2020 (or google says so anyways) but it really, REALLY does not like running ram past the 2400 speed this ram clocks in at despite bios updates and the ram being on the "approved ram" list for the MB.. it was admittedly a budget board when it was purchased too so there's that.
I was seriously tempted to buy this anyways on the "any ram is better than no ram at all" grounds in case the ram in one of our three desktop PC's fails but then I would have wasted $90 if the ram ends up working just fine until this ram shortage (hopefully!) is over years from now (? Thanks so very much AI

Also, my use case is just office application. No video editing, no gaming pc, etc. just looking to extend pc life vs sticking to my 2 x 4GB of ram. Currently bottlenecking

If you must buy more RAM, take one of the SODIMMs out and replace with that 16GB module. I wonder if you'd even notice though, if you're not even paging.
We could help more if you gave us specs, CPU, etc details.

Did you enable XMP / EXPO profile once the RAM was in place? Does that exist on the 2020 motherboard you have?

Thank you for being helpful. I don't have a complete specs but the link to past deal highlights the specs.
