Hogwarts Legacy Digital Deluxe Edition is a strong Harry Potter adventure at this price, with the PS5 version described as especially magical and the deluxe content adding value for fans. The game delivers an immersive Hogwarts student experience, packed with book callbacks, side quests, open world exploration, and varied combat. The main drawbacks are weak stealth and the fact that the cast is set in a different era, so Harry and Hermione are not companions. Epic also has the base game free and the deluxe edition cheaper there, so platform choice matters.
The Epic Games Store offer can provide the base game for free until the stated date.
The $11.99 PS5 Deluxe Edition price can make the digital purchase feel worthwhile for deal shoppers.
The Deluxe Edition experience on PS5 can feel immersive with strong Hogwarts and Harry Potter callbacks.
The PS5 version can run better than the Switch version, with improved graphics and faster loading.
The free Epic version reportedly includes only the base game, while this deal is for the Deluxe Edition.
The Deluxe Edition's stealth mechanic can feel weak and may rely on simple approaches from behind.
The Epic free giveaway can make earlier PS5 purchases feel regrettable after the fact.
The Cash App discount tip may not apply to shoppers who do not use Cash App for purchases.

My take 25 hours in is that it definitely puts you in the seat of being a student at Hogwarts. All the magic is there and there's tons of callbacks to the books. The cast is all at a different point in time though, so don't go in expecting Harry or Hermione to be your sidekick.
All of the sidequests and open world completion is the same/similar busy work (solve a puzzle, clear out enemies at X), but I'm enjoying the story and it's not so much of a chore that I'm bored. The combat system is varied enough where you can find different combos to keep it interesting. The stealth mechanic is kinda weak (just come up from behind people), and is more of an option if you don't like fighting - though there are some story missions that require it.
TLDR; I like it. If I wasn't into Harry Potter though, I might not appreciate the storytelling links back to the source material.
