My wife started leaving the roll in the bottom of our trashcan. Lose a little bit of space (especially when it's a new roll) but dang the convenience is worth it. Take out a full bag and there they are.

I did that before and one of my guest throw a stick or something puncturing the installed bag and we didn't realize that when we throw some sauces and other stuff into the trashcan. All the bags became dirty due to that and we stopped doing that. Just be careful with that setup. Convenient but has its risk

I have seen far too many trash bags leak to call this a good idea.
The closest I would do it tossing a few over the rim of the can so they dont touch the bottom.
