Reddit has a rumor [reddit.com] that T-mobile will offer a free line to certain accounts starting tomorrow, Dec 11. Segment will be Loyalty BYOD Dec 2025, promo code ID250791 / SP158. No other info or qualification requirements available at this time.

If this does come through and you are eligible, get it ASAP. T-mobile does not announce end dates of their promotions, so it can end at any time.

The drawback is, once you have people on free lines, you can never switch the carrier or take advantage of the promotions you get by switching the carrier. You are stuck.

how? You can still switch the carrier with fewer lines you switch. I did this before.

TL;DR: Exercise extreme caution that your plan isn't changed.

I had a a great plan with T-Mobile from an old employee plan from decades ago when I worked for Sprint. Last time I tried this promo it nearly ended in disaster with the rep changing my plan after I expressly voiced not to and i wouldn't take the line if it required a plan change. Would have gone from $40 a month to $130 a month to add a single line, but it would be a 'free line'.
It was pulling teeth to get it all undone and was a major catalyst for me to find a new carrier.

Once I moved and added free line #5, I was able to get an additional 5 free lines for a total of 10 today. For whatever reason(s), I haven't been eligible for the past couple years of free lines. So maybe try asking those 9-12 line SOC people about when they last added a free line? Mine was December 2022. I haven't yet checked for this one, but highly unlikely. I'll post again if I am eligible.

Do the free lines can apply to a business plan as well? I signed up for the 6 lines ProMobile plan during thanksgiving week, and finally ported my lines last Friday... I know it's a bit early for everything probably, but if anyone has any advice on a previous experience, will be great! TIA!
