It's possible. I know because I went up to from 8 to a 12-line plan last free line promo. T-Force and get very very lucky and knowledgable rep. If you know what SOC you need that would be a good start.

Can you direct me to where there is a list of SOC available and what each entails?

Any way to get this as a new customer? I am thinking of switching to T-mobile and wondering if this could be taken advantage of when swapping.

So how many people actually got the free line? Or this is just a really limited promotion?

It was added to my no-longer-available plan. And I checked my account today, my plan is still the same.

If they bill you, cancel it.

Same here but I bit the bullet and used T-Life chat so I can save the transcript. See my post a page or 2 back. I'm enrolled for the promo. Just waiting to see my bill in 2 weeks they didn't screw up my plan 😬

Same here.

I'm on Simple Choice North America plan with only 1 free line.
Same Simple Choice with 2 paid lines and 3 free lines (2 phone, 1 hotspot). Used to be 4 free lines but I did one of the free 5G phone offers with credits and they started charging me $20 so I ported it out. I need to keep the actual number so I will attempt to port it back in to one of my free lines. If I had been eligible for this free line I would have ported in to it. Oh well.

You can ask but I would be weary even if they say yes, especially if you're on a legacy plan and don't want it to be messed up, because you don't want them to "force" it to get it free for you, they'll likely do something to your plan to get it, you don't want that, not worth the headaches trying to fix it. I think they randomly send out these offers. My coworker would get them but not me, this time I got it and he didn't.

It does pop up in my t-life app. Can I just port in a number from another T-mobile account? Or does it have to be from another carrier? I am assuming I can get the free line with an assigned number and just bring over a T-mobile number from another account to replace it

No, add the free line first, port out another account T-Mobile number to a different carrier, then port the number to the free line

No promotion in my T-Life, so I started a chat.
I have the Go5G Plus plan (2 paid lines) and they said my plan was not eligible, but said if I changed to the Experience More plan (which is $10 more a month), then that plan is eligible for the free line. Just a data point of the information I was given.
