Biggest advantage of these third party controllers is having either Hall Effect sticks or TMR sticks, which don't develop stick drift. You know, a problem like Sega eliminated with their Dreamcast controllers back in the 90s.
It is so blatantly intentional that these companies refuse to put Hall Effects in just to sell more controllers.

$90 for trash that will develop stick drift (not a question of 'if' but of 'when') vs $30-60 quality controllers that will not.
Also, do 'copy-cats' often have better features than the original? Weird because it seems like they have triggers instead of buttons like the pro controller has. Almost like it's a better design choice...
Edit: Although the Mobapad M6 is half the price and...wait for it...has hall effect sticks and mechanical buttons. That is a direct replacement for the Joycon and has all the "features" too. I just don't see the point.
Edit2: Huh, there's actually a lot of different ones. Google is your friend. I don't even use my joycons, so I've got no skin in that game.
