Costco has 5x 5.9 oz crest Prohealth tubes for 12.99 (0.45 per oz). This is 0.55 per oz. Costco has the better deal

Flip-top caps are actually twist caps too. Don't throw them away and just put them in your next tube of paste.

"Ultra Brite is a budget-friendly toothpaste made by Colgate-Palmolive, known for its whitening focus. It contains fluoride and often includes baking soda and hydrogen peroxide. However, it ranks high in abrasiveness (RDA 133–145), which may risk enamel wear over time, especially with aggressive brushing."

I usually get the Ultrabrite 6oz for $1.12 from Walmart. I read that it does it decent/good enough job. How does this compare to that? Worth switching?
This is a premium toothpaste. Use it at night and you wake up with clean teeth and fresh breath in the morning.

Thanks for this. I was actually wondering if buying from Costco was a better deal. Thanks!

Stannous Fluoride is more expensive and has better outcomes than the other fluoride. ADA allows for more clinical improvement claims with that ingredient. IIRC it's allowed to say its for tooth sensitivity, cavity fighting, and improves gingivitis.
Improves gingivitis? I'm not sure that's an outcome I'm seeking.

But stannous fluoride can cause mild teeth discoloration. If whitening is a priority you generally go with the sodium fluoride toothpastes, if cavity protection and gum health are the priority, you should go with stannous flouride. You can try to get the best of both worlds by alternating.

You left out tooth sensitivity, stannous is great for that too. I think that the darkening is of plaque deposits getting discolored, so if you remove the plaque, no darkening. Supposedly the new formulations also stopped the darkening. I think if you look at the studies cited earlier, stannous is also better at reducing plaque formation.

Context is valuable, right? One could easily understand this as improves the status. English is context dependent like that.

Is the Costco cheaper than 12.99 in store?

Are all these variations of Crest Pro-Health legit or just a marketing ploy? They pretty much just have stannous fluoride as the active ingredient. Are they really different products?
