I miss the Monk show time period.. back when Americans disagreed with each other politically but could still be friends, everyone had a US flag decal on their car, the dollar menu was actually a dollar and everyone knew who they were.
I watch the show just to escape from today, it's like a time machine. Great easy to watch show.

This is a great series, very rewatchable, and has an almost perfect finale (within reason, a show with the his many viewers will always have its share of nitpickers.)

Without spoiling it (although after 16 years, no one is entitled to spoiler free posts, the statue of spoiler limitations has long passed), it wraps about pretty much all the stories, gives you a glimpse into the future of the major characters, and does it all in a way that doesn't feel contrived or forced.

Keep in mind this does not include the 2023 TV movie which is available on Peacock.

(But buy the series anyway)

"Everyone knew who they were"? What does that even mean?

I know what you mean. The early- to mid- 2000's was a far better time than now.

Are you really going to be the person who asks on every TV SERIES thread if it is MOVIESanywhere compatible despite the fact that no other TV series is and it clearly states in the post "TV show/series are not Movies Anywhere (MA) compatible; may only be viewed on the purchased platform"?

The movie was fine for what it is, a way to revisit some old friends. It was clearly made as an opportunity for the cast and fans to explore "How would Monk navigate the pandemic and post pandemic world". It didn't really add or detract from the series as a whole. I see it as more of a "bonus feature"

Nice to have and worth a watch if you remember the series fondly, but if you aren't a fan it's completely superfluous.
