I felt the other way around, I'm tired of open world games, everyone is doing that, just make you explore an empty map where there is nothing to do, except maybe grab 1 or 2 useless items, definitely the linear story from 2033 and Last Light was waaay better than open world on Exodus.

Agreed, I liked the first 2 over Exodus. However, as a trilogy it's worthwhile to play for sure.
