IMO Sharp Plasmaclusters are the best in the industry. They don't spend money advertising these they spend money on research and have been in the game for 30 years before most other companies or the air purification fad existed. Plasmacluster tech is very popular in Japan and used in many businesses and hospitals. I've had 5 models over decades I swear they are the best. I've own this model for 2 years and am still on the first filter. I might pick up a 2nd.

IMO Sharp Plasmaclusters are the best in the industry. They don't spend money advertising these they spend money on research and have been in the game for 30 years before most other companies or the air purification fad existed. Plasmacluster tech is very popular in Japan and used in many businesses and hospitals. I've had 5 models over decades I swear they are the best. I've own this model for 2 years and am still on the first filter. I might pick up a 2nd.

Thanks and Repp'd ! Currently have a large LeVoit EverestAir that I got on sale for $200 (I believe it's their best model) and a small LeVoit Pure 300....but have ALWAYS wanted a Sharp air purifier for the last 10 years...but the prices for their large one was prohibitively expensive at $500. At $200, it's a no-brainer.

Plasmacluster is good for the lungs, it replicates the negative ion balance in forest air. It was literally proven to neutralize airborne coronavirus in ambient air in published studies. Most other premium purifiers now have some form of "plasma" or similar process. This isn't ozone, which is another story but even ozone is not as harmful as it is made out to be.
