If you trim a lot it's well worth investing in a pair of flourine coated scissors like the coveted B-500SRF with a crossover blade tip. While the spring release is nice with these, needling to constantly clean the gummed up blades with isopropyl alcohol gets old fast.

While a nonstick coating is nice, I'd rather trim with springy clippers that get gummed up than scissor-style pruners any day. These are much easier on my arthritic hands, and quicker for me, and I'm not talking about a few snips of a bonsai tree.😉
Ones like these are good, but I found a deal on Fiskars snips in this style, which are even better - a little smaller, which is great for what I do.
