You will find plenty of people that tell you "it's fine" or "it works on my floor" and they may be telling the truth in the moment, but given time, improperly cleaning your floor is going to degrade it at a much faster rate and create more opportunities for moisture events. If you must use a steam mop to clean your floors, at least move fast with it to keep the heat and moisture levels down.
I see it like this; is buying one of these unnecessary cleaning appliances and becoming a tiktok mom worth the price of repairing or replacing your flooring material? In my opinion, it's not worth it. It's already hard enough to claim a warranty on flooring and a steam mop is going to void it 100%. Stick to the manufacturers cleaning recommendations.
