I never threw coffee away until I got a variation of this. A weird taste like if was bath in some sort of shelf extender.

I buy the whole bean version on occasion, it's serviceable for the price. I rarely trust ground though.

Haha before and after reading the other comments I was hesitant to comment "Avoid Amazon coffee like the plague", but I realize other people thought it tasted like hot trash 🗑️🤣

OK. No judgment, please. I just started drinking coffee and was gifted a bag of this. I'm aware that this isn't good coffee. Can someone give me a recommendation of something that's good, so I can A/B the two and grow as a coffee drinker?

I purchased the whole beans of this flavor/roast and ground them to my own preference. Taste no different than the Starbucks medium roast IMO, and was a bit cheaper. We ended up buying a Nespresso machine from a friend who never used theirs and haven't looked back.

The lavazza in its many varieties frequently posted here is cheap and quite good.

Like I drink coffee for the caffeine and think most are kind of dumb complaining about fancying coffee tasting (like alcohol connoisseurs) but this one is unpalatable.

If you steep your coffee in cold brew jugs this coffee is a good choice. Course grind out of the bag as well.

If I were you, I'd just buy some Folger's Columbian, and Maxwell House Columbian as two comparisons as that is what most Americans drink as their daily coffee so they must find it acceptable. Intermittent with that, while you're out and about stop for a cup of Starbuck's or other local coffee shop and get an Americano, which is shots of espresso and hot water. About every coffee shop I've gone to sells an Americano, although I think Starbuck's originally gave it the name. Many don't like Starbuck's for one reason or another, some saying it just tastes like burnt beans, i.e. over roasted, but to each their own. Don't buy any foo foo drink at a coffee shop, like adding a bunch of flavorings or whatever, because at that point you're not tasting coffee. After you know what Columbian coffee tastes like, experiment with different roasts, lighter, darker, etc. Some days I feel like a medium roast, others a dark roast, and you may as well. Anyway, my 2 cents.

I've never tried this product, so I have no opinion of it.
