It seems like at this sale price it's quite a deal. He says that the spirit is a pretty big step up from the origin.

edit: tl;dr

He describes it as having a modern sound (open, airy, detailed top end, not mid forward). He says it is not what you want if you're looking for a dark, vintage sound.

fair enough, reviewer is pointing out that the multipattern is level emphasized on the treble, however, what pattern does he use while in comparison and there is also zero acoustic shielding, I only wanted a basic lead vocal mic and have it noise isolated and ED'd well and am very impressed with the Origin, I'd say pick the Spirit only if you need the multipattern applications.
