I was in ShopRite 2 days ago I wish I would of seen this prior. I'm ganna have to go back. $1.50 eggs reminds me everyone crying 6 months ago how expensive they were lol. The coupon thing is kind of a pain why not just make a sale skip coupons. Bowl and basket shredded cheese was 3 for 5$ , Oscar Mayer bacon is 4$ with coupon I actually prefer bowl and basket bacon but for 4$...

From what I remember from economics class, this "price discrimination" maximizes profits because it only lowers the price of goods for consumers who are price-sensitive and thus would not have made the purchase unless it was cheaper (with the coupons). If sellers just lowered the price (instead of using coupons), then all buyers would pay the same low price (instead of "rich" people paying the higher price and everyone else paying the lower price).

But if you were just venting about the hassles of couponing, then I empathize with you. In the end, I silently judge these "rich" people who don't use coupons and think they're wasteful people. Big Grin

I'm not a math major, but $1.98/doz seems to be more than $1.50/doz.

Can someone check my math to verify?

My beef with coupons at ShopRite and I'm sure it could be easily fixed my own issue I choose not too do it : I have an old plus membership , phone number only no email . Online I can't sign in only using a phone number . The only way to clip coupons is in store kiosk. I probably could add a email to sign in but I already get so much spam emails I choose not to add a email...

Bowl & Basket egg tolks are very very light yellow, not the deep yellow you'd typically associate wiht nutrient dense yolks. Alas, I eat these anyway. Not my favorite eggs. But they will do!
