No but the GPU runs at only 85W so it's not fully powered. Still for this price, I'm considering it.

Others were talking about known power issues of the Nitros models with RTX 5050. Does anyone know if this true of this one too?

For those wondering, WUXGA is also known as FHD+ 1920x1200 16:10. It's the perfect resolution for a 16" laptop screen.

Yes, if the specs are correct on the Walmart website. 5050 and 5060 versions both come with a 135w chargers and the GPUs are rated to 85 watts. They drain the battery on turbo mode which overstocks the GPU (and sometimes performs mode) with certain games, even with the PSU plugged in. Acer's fix was to remove turbo mode through a BIOS update. From what I've read, a more powerful PSU won't help due to the system being locked to 135w max.
Edit: Apparently you could use a larger PSU with an older BIOS if you downgrade.

Consider this machine instead. It's also $800, but the GPU is around 115W.

The drawbacks are that the display is fairly low quality for an IPS display (no HDR, bad angles, low peak brightness) and the webcam is about as bad as a webcam can be. Otherwise, it's really solid. The computer is plastic, but it feels durable. Also, you want to buy an "MSI Herald-BE WI-FI 7 MAX" and take the Wi-Fi chip from this card and put it into this laptop, because the Wi-Fi chip it comes with is quite bad. It seems like a great deal for the price point, though.
