No idea why people are downvoting this. It's a solid ultraportable windows machine. The specs are decent, it's fairly user repairable (save for the RAM being soldered), and the X1 Carbon build quality is probably some of the best you can get with a Windows laptop. Great keyboard and an acceptable trackpad.

I'd put this against a Macbook Air in terms of portability and utility. Sure, it might not stack up evenly -- but find me a cheaper + better Windows business-class ultraportable.

Probably because it's the previous generation, with the latest gen 13 being 0.4 lbs lighter, and a gen 13 was on sale w/ 1 TB SSD a couple weeks ago for less than this price.
