As long as you don't care too much about Ray Tracing, this one is one of the best deal out there, specially with the new RAM prices hike. The new 9000 gen has 20% better Ray Tracing performance, so in other words, when you enable RT and the game doesn't need more than 16GB video RAM, the RX 9070 XT will perform 10% - 20% on average better than the RX 7900 XTX, and without RT on the 7900 XTX is 10% faster.

Bizarre. I would not pay $700 for this card and honestly I would not buy it at all. Especially when you can go to the same store and get an RX 9070 XT for under $600.

Yep. ai is all about the vram. I wish I had this much of it. I have a measly 12GB. Waiting for a year or two to upgrade in case they start focusing more on upgrading VRAM in the next gen.

I got one of these from Walmart for $800 during the GPU shortage at the start of the year.

Wanted to love it, but with Every power saving and eco mode enabled, it idled at 280 watts - super inefficient vs my RTX 4090 which idled at 24 watts.
In addition AMD upscaling is much worse. Ended up returning it.

Most people would he better off with a 5070 TI for this price or slightly more.

Should idle at 15w-16w.

Nah they idle high. Specially with multi monitor setup. If ur spending that much on a gpu chances are ur probably running a couple screens. It more like 60-90w though. 280w means something it running on it or corrupt driver install maybe?
Anyways if ur shopping these there's probably a specific reason and already know this is one of the last times you can swoop for cheap. If ur looking for pure gaming just get a 9070xt or 5070ti.

If gaming is your goal, grab a 5070 ti or 9070 xt

If you want to do some AI stuff (and good gaming), grab this for the vram

3090's & 4090's still hard to come by for 24 gb of vram
