I had this one for productivity, and gaming, and put about 5000 hours into it. I upgraded to the 5K2K for a total of $1325 a few weeks ago. I was in the middle of playing death stranding director's cut and I didn't see much improvement from 1440p to 5K2K. Maybe its because it's an older game ¯\_(ツ)_/¯. I'm playing cyberpunk now and it's very pretty at full resolution. Hitting about 60fps with a 3080ti after following some reddit thread with recommended settings.
I did notice a serious improvement for productivity though. I was fine with the abysmal 84ppi on the 1440p now that my eyes are older but the 125ppi on the 5K2K alone was worth the upgrade.
I have this one it's not bad text wise if you are back a bit. Looks great in games but really 39" is about really the max it should be for this resolution.
This 45 inch curved OLED UltraGear stands out for fast gaming, especially at 240Hz with 0.03ms response and an immersive wide format that feels great for racing and FPS play. The lower 3440 by 1440 resolution is the main tradeoff, with text looking softer at this size unless you sit back, while productivity work benefits more from the sharper 5K2K alternative. The panel is also heavy and the official stand can be awkward on smaller desks. It suits gaming first, with productivity and burn in concerns worth keeping in mind.
Sim racers who want an ultrawide cockpit view, because the curved panel feels immersive and the 240Hz motion stays easy to drive at 3440x1440.
Productivity-focused buyers who need crisp text at close range, because the lower resolution makes text look distorted and the 45-inch size is too large for this pixel density.
Spreadsheet-heavy office workers who keep static toolbars on screen, because the OLED panel can raise burn-in concerns with ribbon menus and grid layouts.
At 45 inches, 3440x1440 can look soft for text and productivity, especially up close. It is more comfortable if you sit farther back, and several comments suggest the 5K2K version is the better choice for work-heavy use.
Yes. It is described as great for FPS games, Cyberpunk, and sim racing, with the 240Hz refresh rate being easier to drive than 5K2K. The lower resolution also makes high frame rates more attainable on a 3080 Ti-class GPU.
Choose this model if gaming is the priority and you want an easier-to-run 240Hz panel. The 5K2K version is repeatedly favored for productivity and sharper text, while this 3440x1440 model is the cheaper, faster-refresh option.
It includes automatic dimming when the image stays static and runs a cleaning cycle after a few hours. For desktop use, hiding taskbars and using a black background can reduce static elements that may contribute to burn-in risk.
It is a heavy, very wide monitor, and the official stand can be hard to fit end-to-end on a typical desk. Monitor arms or letting part of the stand overhang the desk edge are practical ways to make it work.

Did you see any burn-in? Especially when using for productivity.
I had this monitor and sent it back. Not because it was a bad gaming monitor per say, but because when you try and use it for anything else the text looks too distorted due to the lower resolution that m3n00b mentioned. Seamonkeyminer is also correct, the text is bearable if you sit farther back, but I could never get comfortable with it. The 5k2k is the way to go IF you use this for more than gaming. For 80/20 gaming/productivity this is a good buy, for anything else I'd pass or go with a 34-39" at this resolution.

None that I could tell—it really depends on the type of productivity you're doing. Personally, I switch between macOS 'Spaces' throughout my day, and I've taken simple steps like hiding the taskbars and setting my background to black to minimize static images. The monitor itself automatically darkens when the image has been static for a while, and it enters a cleaning cycle after a few hours. I usually let it handle that when transitioning from work to play.

Thanks for the info. My work uses Excel a lot, I worry about the ribbon menu and the grid get burned in.
