I had this one for productivity, and gaming, and put about 5000 hours into it. I upgraded to the 5K2K for a total of $1325 a few weeks ago. I was in the middle of playing death stranding director's cut and I didn't see much improvement from 1440p to 5K2K. Maybe its because it's an older game ¯\_(ツ)_/¯. I'm playing cyberpunk now and it's very pretty at full resolution. Hitting about 60fps with a 3080ti after following some reddit thread with recommended settings.
I did notice a serious improvement for productivity though. I was fine with the abysmal 84ppi on the 1440p now that my eyes are older but the 125ppi on the 5K2K alone was worth the upgrade.

I have this one it's not bad text wise if you are back a bit. Looks great in games but really 39" is about really the max it should be for this resolution.

... and as a result the price is lower compared to the newer version (45GX950A-B) that has 5K2K resolution but lower refresh rate.

That is probably the ideal use case. I'm holding out for a 4k glossy or semi glossy version like this in future but I'm not sure with a curve at this size if they'll ever release it due to reflections

Returned the 34" version and got this. It was worth the extra $200. Been playing BF6 on it daily and its great for FPS games. Easier to drive 240hz with the 3440x1440. Paid $100 more just weeks ago. Debating wether the hassle of boxing it up and returning it is worth the $100 difference. If this was my productivity or work station I would go for the 5k.

Probably only way to use this display bc of the high curve. Im starting to think Samsung puts these aggressive curves to somehow save resources.

I got a pair of these around July and the price about the same if I count all the Cashback's
I do feel the 5k2k is kind of better but these QHD 240hz is really easier to drive
two of this side by side is like a half dome in front me and I can never back to flat ones….

Is it okay stacked atop one another, or is side by side the only way to go? I'm not sure that I have the desk space for side by side.

LG is such a garbage company I honestly would pay more to get anything else.
i tend to agree given my experience in the recent 45 inch ultragear promo on their website. support is non existence after placing the order for a week and they recalled the delivery without notification and response after several inquiry. had to dispute the charge to get my money back. not applicable to this for ordering since this is amazon. but don't expect good support if anything is wrong with the product. that said, i might take a chance if this falls below 400.

It's kind of heavy monitors but if you buy good monitor holding arms I believe you can do up and down. But with official stands it is not possible
I don't have enough space either if you count end to end length. But you can just let the stand on the edge of the desk ( even push a bit more ) and part of the monitors will be out of your desk. That also works…
