Supposedly better than the original model, specifically for modern consoles and gaming handhelds like the Switch, but just like the other models limited to 1440/60

Is this a newer upgraded model than the usual red one or same specs just different color?

Technology is neat. We got upscalers for vidya games now lol

Technically 1440 but they're just filling in more pixels basically? That's how most upscalers work iirc

It seems to double up pixels since it has you set the Switch to 720p and then upscales that to 1440p.

Alright i'm an idiot. Tell me, wouldn't doubling be worse than what i said of "filling in" pixels assuming that could be done from 1080?

I'm no expert, a Google search would probably give you all the info you need.
But based on my understanding: Basic upscalers copy nearby pixels to fill in the image and technically just make it larger. Doubling the pixel count (technically quadrupling since it goes both directions) is an easy way to upscale because it'll get better visual results. Which is why most emulators will have upscaling at certain levels to match generally used display resolutions better.

AI upscalers exist that can sometimes do a good job by getting an idea of what's being shown and filling in the pixels to match the full image better. But this device doesn't have that kind power for AI upscaling.

If I'm mistaken, anyone can feel free to correct me.
