The Nvidia price equivalent card is a 5050. I'd take the B580 any day over the 5050. B580 is faster and has 12gb VRAM compared to 8gb on the 5050.

5060 might have more raw power but it's limited to 8gb VRAM which can cause issues on some games. Still costs more than a B580.

Would I take a 5060TI over this? Sure but it's over $100 more.

And even then, you're still limited to 8GB unless you spring for the 16GB version (which is nearly twice as much as the B580).

Good point. I was thinking the Ti version came with 16gb default but I now see the 8gb 5060ti is $350 and the 16gb 5060ti is $430.

Good value, especially since Battlefield 6 is still being included which is probably the best of the options.
"Purchases must be made between November 1, 2025 and January 31, 2026. Offer available while supplies last. Codes must be redeemed by March 15, 2026, or they will expire."
"Battlefield 6, Dying Light: The Beast, Assassin's Creed Shadows, and Sid Meier's Civilization VII. Other in-game content and trial subscriptions are also included."

The **Intel Arc B580 Nitro OC performs well for video editing**, particularly in **GPU-accelerated effects and hardware encoding**, but with some caveats.

- ✅ **Excellent for GPU effects** in **DaVinci Resolve, Premiere Pro, and After Effects**, nearly matching the more expensive RTX 4070.
- ✅ **Fast hardware encoding** with strong **AV1, H.265, and H.264 support**, making it ideal for quick exports and 4K transcoding.
- ✅ **12GB VRAM** helps with 4K timelines and multi-layer projects, reducing lag during playback and rendering.
- ⚠️ **Inconsistent performance with LongGOP codecs** (H.264/HEVC), sometimes excelling and sometimes underperforming—likely due to driver issues.
- ❌ **Not recommended for RAW video workflows or GPU ray-tracing rendering** (e.g., Blender Cycles), where NVIDIA GPUs with CUDA/OptiX still dominate.

Overall, it's a **strong budget-friendly choice for editors focused on effects, color grading, and fast exports**, but **verify driver compatibility** with your specific software and plugins.

I would not bother replying, honestly. this is sthe same type of guy that would say that a 5060 isn't powerful enough to be called a Gaming GPU. a freaking 5060... that runs everything 60fps maxxed out or 100+ on high. Not enough for gaming, according to "these people". I don't take them seriously at all. Bunch of neckbeard memelords locked in their basement all day. Sorry, don't mean to be mean but it's a gross, disconnected, and entitled gatekeeping behavior and it pisses me off.

This is the part where they tell you to just admit that you can't afford a $3000 RTX 5090 😄

I wish Intel made a slightly higher tier card though; something in the $350 range which I'm sure would crush the 8gb 5060ti. Hasn't this card been out a couple of years now? Anything coming down the pipeline from intel?

*cries with his RX580*

RX9070XT should be delivered Monday though. Unless my fellow workers lose it between Jacksonville and here. Still the possibility of it being damaged on it's journey across the country though Frown
