Quickly browsing over the reviews it seems people think this is the cellular version and not the wifi version. Also the pictures and videos make it seem like it comes with a case keyboard and stylus which it doesnt.

Aside from these handful of examples... there are lots more if you look for them... it is absolutely insane these days to argue against not having your device getting security updates, unless you are never signing in to any important accounts on that device, including email accounts.

Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 Processor is nice. If it only had AMOLED screen it would be much better than Samsung.

This thing is awesome. The screen isn't oled but still quite impressive. If I didn't bateado have an M4 iPad with the keyboard I would have definitely bought this.

Edit: I had one and gave it to my wife to use for school.

Too bad it only gets about 3 more years of security updates from OnePlus.

very temping, but going to skip as I bought the Pad1 that came with the case and the keyboard, both of which I consider essential for this as a laptop replacement on the go...

Why... I have not heard of a person on this planet that got hacked because they were using an out of date OS. Specifically talking about Android 11 and up. What you are talking about is Make believe corporate strategy to make you buy more stuff. So there is about 1.5 BILLION android devices that are not up to date... please find me ONE story about somoeone getting hacked because their tablet or phone was not upto date. JUST ONE STORY from the 1.5 BILLION users.

100% on this. Our devices process sensitive data, access banking information on top of being our photo storage. You're connecting to public networks, open attachments, link biometrics to apps. A lot can go wrong. Doesn't make it more probable. But even one accident steals months from your life at best.

Time to chime in about this product...

The issue I have with this tablet is two fold....

1. I HATE the aspect ratio of 5:7 or 7:5. This is not geared towards watching movies and TV. Most other tablets have a 16:9 aspect ratio. Like the black lines above and below will be HUGE and in the end it is like you are watching a movie on a 7" tablet that has an aspect ratio of 16:9.

2. Oneplus claims having a 5:7 makes your device more productive... but who buys a tablet to be productive? I buy it to watch movies and TV and to check email, etc... I do not have mulitple screens going like I do at work and I would not call android itself a productive OS.

So besides the aspect ratio... this is a GREAT tablet. Too bad they did not have an OLED screen (I am sure future models will have this).
