Its 7" inches. Dont expect much from such a small form factor. Its an eReader first. But im not a fan of the color. its dimmer vs the black and white version that came before it.

I love my Kobo Sage (and Forma before that) because I can use Overdrive/Libby to check out ebooks from my local library on the device itself. I believe this model has the same feature. Imo, it also has a less cluttered home screen compared to my kindle in terms of ads.

For those that don't understand... Amazons kindle is locked down and moreso as time goes on. Devices like this open up a whole new world of possibilities to get ebooks from other sources. If Amazon deviced to pull a book you purchased on your kindle tomorrow, there would be nothing you could do about it.

I've had this for a little over 6 months and enjoy it. I am not an avid reader but I am trying to read more and this helps. Having the pen and colors, although muted, are a nice bonus. I really like it.

This is very much dependent on your comfort level with modifying your kindle. Totally possible to jailbreak your kindle and add Koreader to it to read normal epub files. You can even grab a second-hand kindle to do it on the cheap. No Amazon needed.

Having jailbroken different kindles recently, koreader is really kinda ass to use on it. Koreader's navagation and menu is really bland and not really intuitive; there's also really annoying bugs where it'll disable the lighting on kindles and the only way to turn it back on is exit koreader and slide the screen lighting back in the regular kindle os.

But I still do recommend jailbreaking kindles. Great way to get rid of the ads and disable updates to keep amazon from deleting your stuff. Better off copying your books and dropping it onto the kindles with calibre after jailbreaking instead of using koreader IMO
