They do offer the option of paying more upfront if you don't want the hassle of using a prepaid card. For the Unlimited Starter:
"Pay $270 up front, then receive a $151 prepaid card at activation with code SWEETER119. Or get a sweet deal of $149 at checkout with code SWEET149"
And for the Unlimited Premium:
"Pay $390 up front, then receive a $211 prepaid card at activation with code SWEETER179. Or get a sweet deal of $239 at checkout with code SWEET239"

Although as someone else mentioned, one caveat is that you're stuck on the Dark Star for a year which is AT&T service. The 50% off Multi-Network add-on (which I assume makes the cost from $7.50/mo -> $3.75/mo) would be worth getting since it allows your phone to use T-Mobile and Verizon networks in case AT&T sucks in your area.

Sweeter deal has 179 for unlimited premium and you pay more upfront to get back a prepaid card

It's about the network. The 167 is tmo only and on us mobile iPhones don't get access to their 5gsa real 5g network. So this one is att and ymmv. The visible 50pct deal that just ended was great if you wanted Verizon. Whatever people do get the network that works for you and don't hope the other works out because these are one year no money back.

5G SA is not a big deal at all. It only makes a difference in certain scenarios. I have an iphone on light speed. I constantly get speed over +700Mbps, which is faster than most people's home WIFI.

I believe USM has restrictions on what percentage of the time you can be on a second network each month. Or maybe it's the carrier themselves that set those restrictions, I'm not sure, but I do remember reading that you could not add the secondary (at half price, which is a great deal by the way) and then just use VZ the whole time.
