Yeah, i don't understand people who are wireless charging. Cause wireless charging still requires wire, same as plugging in to your charging port.

The only reason to wireless charging is to minimize port usage but at the expense of heat and faster battery degradation. For me, it's no brainer. Faster battery degradation means faster for you to replace battery. Charging port is already designed for hundreds of thousands usage.

Wireless charging would be most useful for full water proof device. Like adult toys. The strange thing is most adult toys still use charging port. Probably due to price limitation?

I'm having inconsistent charging by wire. I'll take the hit to be able to charge at this point.

Or it could be as simple as lint accumulated in your charging port. Look at it with a flashlight. Could go in with a wooden object like toothpick and gently clean it out. Will be back to working like it did.

Lint in the charging port... that can cause this issue... use a non-metal toothpick or something similar to carefully pull it out.
