I generally prefer the desktop to be in one piece vs two so you don't have that crease possibly in the middle. If you have a thick mousepad, my guess is it wouldn't be noticeable.
I bought an almost identical desk earlier this year; single motor, 2 piece top, same colors. It's been pretty nice to use and look at, and works well. I have 2 34" curved monitors side by side, along with a 34" ultrawide above those, all mounted to a pieced-together clamp style desk mount. The desk supports all of that, and the motor has no trouble going up and down.
I will say that I'd go single piece top if I buy another. The split top is fine, but it does have some amount of flex to it when leaning on it. I don't think it'll break, but I wouldn't lean on it with all of my weight.
