NACS seems to be getting more popular then J1772, but I'd still buy what you need now and in the future buy an adapter if you need. I bought a J1772 to NACS for $10 on amazon, probably about the same going the other way

Do not buy some cheapo word-soup adapter off of Amazon to connect the most valuable thing you own to the second most valuable thing you own.
Only buy adapters that are UL2252 certified. See the EVCharging subreddit for suggestions.
