This Legion Pro 7i stands out as a high end gaming laptop with an RTX 5080, 240Hz OLED display, and strong battery life for a machine this powerful. The 5080 is a major step up from the 5070 Ti alternative, and the 16GB of VRAM is seen as a solid floor for gaming and AI work. The 64GB memory configuration is useful for mixed work and gaming, especially for tasks like Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 or photo and video editing. The main tradeoff is size and power, since it is heavy and the power brick is heavy too. A strong fit if you want desktop class performance in a portable Windows machine.

Is this better than the M5 Macbook pro?
Those two products are for very very different markets.

This is a gaming laptop. It has 240Hz OLED screen, power hungry GPU and CPU, Windows. It's heavy, needs to be connected to the power brick which is also super heavy.

Macbook pro is light and sips power. It doesn't have OLED screen. It cannot run most of the games. Is aimed for a completely different use case.

You'd spend 99% of the time on the Legion gaming or watching videos connected to the charger.

Not refurbished. They were brand new with 32GB and 2TB. Heres the proof:https://slickdeals.net/f/18926815-lenovo-legion-pro-7i-gen-10-laptop-bundle-16-qhd-240hz-rtx-5080-ul...https://slickdeals.net/f/18901681-lenovo-legion-pro-7i-laptop-ultra-9-275hx-16-1600p-240hz-oled-rtx-...https://slickdeals.net/f/18849919-lenovo-legion-pro-7-gen-10-16-oled-rtx-5080-amd-ryzen-9-9955hx3d-2...And 64GB RAM is just a show off piece. 32GB RAM is more than enough for any gamer.Plus slap on the 10% back from certain cash back websites and that price would go down another $200.
Some of us do work, as well as game. 64gb is very useful to me.

I needed to upgrade from a 2070 laptop and just picked this up. I feel like the way things are going it's not going to get any cheaper in 2026 onward, so I went ahead and bought this to hopefully future proof me for awhile at least. Before whatever insanity is coming the next few years with prices.

64GB is useful for about 10% of anyone who works and game on the same laptop.

64 gigs is helpful for msfs 2024…
If you need it for that then cool. But 90% of gamers don't need that. To include myself.

Sounds better to the illiterate ears, apparently.
