If you have it too, $20 off PAYPALDEC25: $279.99 with coupon code
That coupon isn't applicable to orders anywhere within the US, only selective countries. So in short, it's more or less useless.

avoid any 8gb memory macbook
I've had this machine since 2020 launch (512gb, 8GB RAM), and I've never really seen it bogged down. Routinely have 30+ tabs open in Chrome + other background apps.

Avoid commenting on a MacBook thread when you haven't owned or used any.

Can you even upgrade the ios with 128gb?
FWIW, I bought one of these with 256GB SSD for $388 a few months back from Woot, and it was in excellent condition. The only letdown was the power adapter was 3rd party.

I'm no fan of Amazon these days, but I will give credit where it is due.

Le me fix this for you " avoid any 8gb memory WINDOWS laptop"

I have this machine since day one and still fast has the day I bought it. No memory issue. Also have a desktop with 96gb and never had the need to jump on my desktop to do something I couldnt do on my mac other than gaming.
Open Chrome with 500 tabs. 😆

Seems like a decent deal. I got one of these when they first came out and it's still a pretty decent web surfing/document typing machine today. Even with the weak specs.

The Only issue is 128gb gets 5x more ssd burn than 512gb after 4 yrs at school

128gb SSD is one of the very first M1's released. Apple quickly made the base 256. Also not that they call the color "gray/skinned" . These resellers have been known to apply vinyl skins to make them look nice but they are really beat up.

I have this sitting in storage, because I bought an open box M4 during Black Friday. However, this machine has done absolutely everything I wanted when I was in college browse, write documents, calculate, code in Xcode, play games (Steam, LoL), and was able to do most of what I wanted. Although this is 128gb, you can simply add an external ssd formatted and install apps alongside it. You will go through memory swapping if running multiple applications, but it's never really was something I'd notice. Apple Intelligence isn't even worth caring about. Great gift to give to a new student in college.

For those who buy this, please comment when you receive it. I want to know the condition of the laptop to see if it's worth to buy…

Thanks.

I have a 2013 MacBook pro. So old you can open in. One day several years ago Apple released an update and made the computer insanely slow. I also couldn't delete the update and go back. So instead I updated my memory from 8-16 and besides the keyboard and battery it still works great.
So at some point Apple will do the same with this. It's nearly six years old now.

Never update a old computer with the latest ios. I always keep my auto update turned off. This is a great laptop for the price Ive had one since they first came out. Still works like new, never a glitch or slowdown
