Review said it turns off too soon in the middle of a project. Then have to turn it back on and wait for it to heat back up. Too small to hold a good battery I think (no mention of mah). I think it's a pass.

Not so much. This is a wireless and rechargable glue gun.

Better yet, go to the junk yard and assemble it from scrap parts yourself! Who has $3 to waste in today's economy

It's handy to have this wireless. Stuff I need to glue is always away from the outlet and bulky to bring. Car, trashcan, wicker chair, security camera, etc..

It's wireless, the auto shutoff is to conserve battery. Also, lithium batteries don't like being exposed to heat for long periods either, so it could be considered a safety feature. This isn't designed for long projects, but for items that are inconvenient to hot glue because they aren't near an outlet. This is a small/quick repair or touch up hobby tool at best.

I have this one in teal (from a previous SD) and a cheapo wired glue gun I got from Wal-Mart. They both serve the same purpose, but each one has different advantages.

Cordless sounds convenient to me but personally I don't use a hot glue gun enough anymore to really need a wireless one. Accumulated like three wired ones over the years.

I have one, and never ran into that issue. The person was probably leaving it idle for long periods. It also heats up really fast.

Does a hot glue gun really have any purpose other than crafts?

Some concerning recent reviews stating it stops charging and will not work after a few uses.
