I believe that the "tornado" feature is just two/three larger openings under the rim of the bowl that face sideways to force the water to spin around the sides, as opposed to other toilets that have downward facing holes. So the only way for it to break would be for the bowl itself to break.

I wish Costco sold the standard height Toto drake. The comfort height they sell is too high unless you pair it with a squatty potty.

I have 2 drakes installed and one more, the old toilets would clog and take forever to flush. Haven't had a single issue with drakes in 2 years. Our master isn't a drake and has also been fine, but really just get a toilet that isn't bottom of the barrel

I have been on the wait for a one piece Toto to go on sale, but it seems like that's a distant possibility at this point. Does Toto drop ship this to you or does this actually get shipped by Costco? I know Costco's return policy is bulletproof, but I've had some issues with getting toilets delivered and would prefer it made as few stops as possible before it got here.

Great toilet. Bought 3 of these for our renovation a year ago and none of them have ever needed a plunge. They advertise you can flush like 14 golf balls down.
I saw a video where someone flushed 25

Our community has rated this post as helpful. If you agree, why not thank The_Love_Spud

Might help to update the title and listing with as 2-piece elongated ADA height (17.625"). Might also be worthwhile to establish some details as a bullet list in the description, including the 1.28gpf, rimless design, made in Mexico, and left hand flush.

Good luck!

Personally I went with the Water Ridge one piece from Costco back in January when I added a bathroom to the house. At $169.99 the deal was too killer to pass up for a bathroom that was always going to be one of the least used toilets in the house. (Arguably it is currently one of the best toilets in the house)

This is an excellent price for an excellent toilet, but depending upon your needs and applications there may still be better options.

Good luck!
Jon

So this is not a pressure-assisted toilet like commercial toilets? There is no pressurized air?
Totally not needed. I've had these for 8 years. No clogs, and maybe had to double-flush 2 or three times… in that time period. And I have the 1.26ga tank.

No this is not a pressurized air toilet. The "tornado" is a marketing term Toto uses because the way the water is released into the bowl causes a large tornado like swirl. It is know for it's excellent flushing capabilities as well as how well it rinses the bowl during the flush.

You can google toto tornado flush for many videos like this one:

I had Drake's and switched over to bidets. The drake was undefeated no matter what I fed it.
This is, by far, one of the most cost-effective QoL improvements outside of a great mattress to sleep on. Every toilet (11) I have is a Toto Drake, and every one uses a Toto bidet (various, from C300 on up to the stupid ones that light up and make weird noises in the middle of the night and I regret spending $1k+ on).

Toto is the best.

I ordered one of these from Ferguson about two years ago. Tank arrived intact. After the third base arrived in pieces, Ferguson gave me $100 to have the broken bases hauled away and I bought the base at a local plumbing supply store.

My wife loves the night lights and heated seats. Agreed with you on the qol.. such a small thing that makes her happy.
