almost all the android smart watches are a failure because of a fatal flaw. their heartrate sensor protrudes from the watch. this creates an imprint on the skin that may or may not be painful to some people. i only found two watches that dont, apple watch and pixel watch but the pixel is an absolute piece of s in hardware design. also samsung watch is way too thick and looks like a kid's toy on your wrist.
I had a issue with early smart watches they would make the spot under the sensor sore the worst was the fossil ones, ever since I tried the galaxy watch 4 classic I haven't had the issue at all with Samsung I'm now using the ultra also without any issues nore do I get any indent from it.

Appears to be the lowest price for brand new in the amazon price history. I cancelled the a previous order of the 40mm at $130 to purchase this version instead mainly for the increased battery.

The real answer to this, which no has has mentioned, is the leaking of nickel from the stainless steel. Some (not all, but a fair amount) people have a reaction to the nickel and get a sort of rash. You can test this by putting a piece of clear tape or something over the sensor. You lose ECG and body comp, but everything else works.
This was the case for me and I almost gave up wearing it, but Amazon has some "screen protector" type covers for the back sensor and it's made all the difference for me.
I bought this, it said last one, but them I saw that open box lte for $140 90 day warrenty I had to cancel the new one and purchase this https://a.co/d/77PTIRp
Just a warning to anyone buying a Samsung watch to use with a non-Samsung phone: you will not get all the features. ECG sensor does not work, and recently, the weather will not update. I lived without the ECG fine since it wasn't important to me (and there is a workaround if it matters), but a couple weeks ago, the weather stopped working. There is no workaround. You used to be able to use Google Weather instead, but Google has pulled support for non-Pixel watches. Android is becoming more walled, and that's probably the only reason I have exclusively used Android for my smartphone choices. If I'm going to be locked into an ecosystem, then I'm inevitably going to switch to Apple.
