Best Buy has open box excellent available for $570 with free shipping. There pickup option for open box good (YMMV) for $520 or open box fair (YMMV) for $500. Pretty good price for a higher resolution OLED laptop. The 16 GB is the weak point here but it's fine for most people. This is also the flip version which folds completely back and has a usb C port on both sides as opposed to only on one side like the non flip Omnibook Ultra. This checks a lot of boxes and may be perfect for someone looking for a 2 in 1 OLED touchscreen. See below specs:
Screen: 3K 2880 X 1800 OLED Touch Screen, 48-120 Hz, 500 nits, 14"
Processor: Intel Core Ultra 7 256 V
Storage: 1 TB SSD
Ram: 16 GB LPDDR5X
WiFi 7
3 lbs.
Haptic Touchpad

The Ultra flip has a 120hz screen. I bought this exact model refurbed at Microcenter for $600. For this price, it's great.

Good deal in terms of price but terrible port selection. Only 3x Thunderbolt 4 USB-C ports; not a single USB-A port and neither an HDMI.
The OmniBook X Flip with the same display but ultra core 5 was this price new for quite some at the HP online store. That has much better ports and is overall a better device according to various tech reviewers as well. This does have a bigger battery than the X Flip, and a slightly better build quality.
So, choose wisely.

I have had this one for a year. I use a cheap adapter when I need USB-A and hdmi. Battery life is great and lasts much longer than with the prior CPUs. It has a very solid build quality. But yeah, isn't going to preform noticably better than prior gen which are 200-300 less.

The X flip has hands down the worst keyboard I have ever used on a laptop. It ruins the entire thing. it really does seem like laptops have to get one thing wrong and the lack of USB A and HDMI is annoying. HDMI would be nice but for most people it's not needed on the go and they can have an adaptor at home for a monitor.

You are incorrect. First of all, this does not have any USB-A or HDMI ports, so that is indeed a terrible port selection. The X Flip has them both, which I already stated in a previous comment. Almost every laptop accessory connects via a USB-A dongle. I recently ordered the X Flip with the 3K 120Hz OLED display and the keyboard; while not the best and neither up to the mark of the Ultra Flip, it's definitely far from 'worst', which also aligns with what most tech reviewers have stated.

I purchased this in "Good" condition this morning. It looks brand new but didn't have the original box. I also purchased 4 other Omnibooks since the week before Christmas as several family and friends need them. All were similar specs and ranged from $350-$475. Two were Xs and two were 5s. My wife also has a Spectre purchased last year from HP.com.

This Ultra is so much better than the X and 5 from a build perspective. It is thinner, more solid feeling, better keyboard, much better touchpad and the OLED screen is significantly nicer. While they look about the same, the Ultra is thinner than the Spectre and is also thinner than the other Ultra I was looking at (Ryzen 9 365), which was closer to the Spectre is design.

The Ultra is the one I will keep for myself and I consider these upgrades worth the extra $100.

Yeah, the build, size, haptic trackpad, battery, etc. make this a joy to use. Would I like HDMI and USB-A? Sure. But it's not worth the sacrifice to me. I have USB-C flash drives, a USB-C to HDMI cable, and so on that I can use.

This is only 14", while the X Flip is 16", it actually has the space for more ports..

I was about to buy this new yesterday at BB and the rep there opened my eyes to open box items. I was about to go get an open box one graded as "excellent" in my area last night for like $820, but I couldn't make it. I checked the price again this morning and it dropped to $569. Just picked it up a couple hours ago. Looks brand new and came in the original box. Glad I waited 😁
