Screen is 62.5% sRGB (45% NTSC). I bought one but noticed the dull colors immediately so went and searched for the screen specs and found the following PDF with them:

Not sure if I'm going to keep.

This looks like an amazing deal. Great find OP. I'm tired of seeing crappy comment after another about Macbooks being good value when Best Buy open box exists...

RAM being soldered is OK since 16GB is quite a lot for office use and this competes with literal chromebooks.

I had a 45 NTSC screen before at only 250 nits. It looked terrible. Not amount of calibration can fix a screen like this. At least this one has 400 nits but the colors will still look washed. Just couldn't get over it.

Great deal. Can't justify buying such a behemoth of laptop though.

The keyboard is terrible.

The screen is going to be super grainy at that resolution and size.

16" is hugemongus.

OP lists the "Fair" quality used price instead of Good or Excellent. He does it on purpose. He knows what he's doing.

It's still a good deal at $352 but I'm not buying one. I already have one of the 14" equivalent and this is pretty much the max I would pay for one of these. The keyboard really does suck.

Oh, and the screen colors are crap. Like the "red" is "orange" and not even close to red. It's fine for spreadsheets, email, and text though.

Omnibook Ultra all day. The keyboard on the X is really bad.
